A recognized and respected executive in the biopharmaceutical industry for over 20 years, Dee has a proven record of exceptional performance and leadership while demonstrating the superior judgment and integrity requisite in the healthcare industry.
Most recently, Dee co-founded DMH BioPharm Advisors. In this pursuit, she works with clients to maximize the commercial value of their product portfolios with a focus on the development of a culture of compliance. Dee draws on her substantial biopharmaceutical commercial experience to help DMH’s clients to create or improve marketing operations, assess commercial brand plans and develop ethical and effective interactions with healthcare providers.
Upon graduating from Stephen F. Austin University with a degree in Microbiology and Organic Chemistry, Dee began her career with Pfizer Inc. as a field sales representative. After twenty years and eight promotions, she rose to the position of Senior Vice President, General Manager of Pfizer’s Specialty Products Business Unit. Dee has received Pfizer’s highest awards in sales and leadership in every field position. As a Vice President and Senior Vice President, General Manager, Dee consistently achieved or surpassed revenue and income growth targets.
As one of the Pfizer’s top senior executives, Dee led and participated in a variety of major organizational transformations and mergers, and was a member of Pfizer’s Executive Pharmaceutical Management Team and Corporate Compliance Committee. She created and implemented several successful product marketing plans, including the launches of twelve new products and indications of numerous existing products. With profit and loss responsibility for a $2 billion budget, Dee led cross-functional teams of up to 900 colleagues, and managed both primary care and specialty organizations. Through her experiences with in-house and outside legal counsel on government investigations involving off-label promotion, she learned to understand the pragmatic realities of operating in a highly-regulated environment.
As an invited speaker at numerous industry conferences and events, Dee has presented on leadership, marketing, health care compliance and industry trends. Most recently, Dee spoke on the topic of Effective Ethical Promotion at the Tenth Annual Pharmaceutical Regulatory and Compliance Congress. In 2008, Dee was selected by The Profiles in Diversity Journal as one of the top 100 “Women Worth Watching.” Dee has obtained a Comprehensive Leadership Certificate from the Harvard Business School, a Finance and Accounting Certificate from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Healthcare Compliance Certificate from Seton Hall Law School.
